The White Tail Trail Half Marathon will start at the Fifty Springs Recreation Area and finish at the swim beach.

Although this is a trail race, there are numerous viewing points along the course that are accessible via car. Here are driving directions to get to the six different aid station spots that have road access. Each begins at the registration area, which is located at the swim beach parking lot. Directions from aid station 2 thru 7 are at the bottom.

Aid Station #1 – Not accessible for viewing.

Aid Station #2 (Pioneer Village) – ~Mile 3 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn left on State Route 73 and travel 1.5 miles. Turn right on Oregonia Road towards the Nature Center and Pioneer Village.  Travel 1.0 mile and turn right at the stop sign (still Oregonia Road). Travel 1 miles until you reach Pioneer Village Rd. Turn right. The aid station will be set up on the road just outside Pioneer Village

Aid station #3 (Wellman Meadows) – ~Mile 4 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn left on State Route 73 and travel 1.5 miles. Turn right on Oregonia Road towards the Nature Center and Pioneer Village.  Travel 1.0 mile and turn right at the stop sign (still Oregonia Road). Go 1.3 miles and turn right at the Wellman Meadows Boat Ramp sign. Go 0.6 miles and turn left into the picnic area. The aid station will be on the road by the bathrooms.

Aid station #4 (Flat Fork Recreation Area) – ~Mile 6 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn right on State Route 73. Go 2.2 miles and turn left on Clarksville Road towards the Caesar Creek Dam and Visitor Center. Travel 3.0 miles, where you will be passing the Visitor Center, gorge and driving over the dam. Turn left into the Flat Fork Recreation Area. The aid station will be set up at the top of the stairs at the back of the main parking lot.

Aid station #5 (Visitor’s Center) – ~Mile 7 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn right on State Route 73. Go 2.2 miles and turn left on Clarksville Road towards the Caesar Creek Dam and Visitor Center. Travel 2 miles, and turn left into the Visitor Center.

Aid station #6 (Hopewell Day Lodge) – ~Mile 9.5 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn right on State Route 73. Go 2.2 miles and turn left on Clarksville Rd towards the Caesar Creek Dam and Visitor Center. Travel 1.4 miles and turn left on Middletown Road. Stay straight towards the Hopewell Day Lodge. Go 0.4 miles and veer left. The aid station will be in front of the Day Lodge.

Aid station #7 (SR73 Boat Ramp) – ~Mile 12 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, drive half a mile and when you get to State Route 73, go straight across 73. Follow the road toward the boat ramp until you see a table that is set up for the aid station.

If you would like to travel from aid station to aid station along the half marathon course, here are directions starting from the swim beach parking lot.

Aid Station #1 – Not accessible for viewing.

Aid station #2 (Pioneer Village) – Mile 3 – Leave the parking lot at the swim beach, and drive for a half mile until you encounter State Route 73. Turn left on State Route 73 and travel 1.5 miles. Turn right on Oregonia Road towards the Nature Center and Pioneer Village.  Travel 1.0 mile and turn right at the stop sign (still Oregonia Road). Go 1 mile and turn right at Pioneer Village Road. Go 0.3 miles. The aid station will be on the road by Pioneer Village.

Aid Station #3 (Wellman Meadows) – Mile 4 – Leave Pioneer Village and travel back to Oregonia Road. Turn right on Oregonia Rd. Travel 0.3 miles and turn right at the Wellman Meadows Boat Ramp. Go 0.6 miles and turn left into the picnic area. The aid station will be on the road by the bathrooms.

Aid station #4 (Flat Fork Recreation Area) – Mile 6 – Leave Wellman Meadows and travel back out to Oregonia Rd. Turn right on Oregonia Rd. Turn right on Clarksville Rd (there is a convenience store here) and travel to the Flat Fork Recreation Area on the right. Park in the parking lot.

Aid station #5 (Visitor’s Center) – Mile 7 – Return to Clarksville Rd and turn right. Cross the dam and then turn right into the Visitor’s Center.

Aid station #6 (Hopewell Day Lodge) – Mile 9.5 – Return to Clarksville Rd and turn right. Travel about ½ mile and turn right onto Middletown Road. Stay straight towards the Hopewell Day Lodge. Go 0.4 miles and veer left. The aid station will be in front of the Day Lodge.

Aid station #7 (SR 73 Boat Ramp) – Mile 12 – Return to Clarksville Rd and turn right. Travel 1.4 miles to State Route 73. Turn right and travel 2.2 miles and then turn right towards the boat ramp (just as the road becomes four lanes). Park in the parking lot near the restrooms.

Finish – Leave the boat ramp and return to State Route 73. Go straight across State Route 73 and drive ½ mile to the swim beach.
