Santa Stampede 10K Awarded 2014 RRCA State Championship

Runners competing in the Santa Stampede 10K on Saturday, December 20, 2014 will be vying for a state title. The race has been awarded as the Colorado State 10K Championship race by the Road Runners Club of America. Runners from throughout the state can race to see who the fastest 10K runners are overall and in their respective age groups. The race will take place at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. Elite entries are available.

The Santa Stampede 5K and 10K is part of the Winter Distance Series, a three-race series that is currently celebrating its tenth year. In addition to enjoying a flat and fast 5K and 10K race that travels the paved Platte River Trail, runners and walkers will receive a Santa hat,  shirt, chip timing, and a party-like atmosphere at the finish with yummy food and drink, including muffins, bagels, and hot chocolate. New this year – finisher’s medals to all runners! Runners Roost will help the winners of each race celebrate with a new pair of New Balance shoes and they are also giving $20, $15, and $10 gift certificates to first, second, and third place age group winners in every race. The age groups are as follows: 14 and under, and then five year age groups up to 80+.
